FX Panthera Hunter Compact

The Hunter Compact compressed air rifle is based on the Panthera from FX Airguns. The original Panthera was composed for long-range slug shooting. The Hunter Compact is a more portable version of that, suitable for pellet shooting. In addition to the adjustable stock and cheekpiece, the compressed air rifle is equipped with a standard AR handle. The 300cc carbon compressed air cylinder is placed at the front for comfortable weight distribution. Thanks to the modular Panthera platform, the Hunter Compact can be easily adapted afterwards for specific purposes.

Impressive technology
This powerhouse is built for optimal airflow, meaning air is released as quickly and efficiently as possible after pulling the trigger. To this end, all components are perfectly matched. Below we briefly highlight the most important ones for you:

Regulator –
the single AMP MKII regulator has its own pressure gauge and is minutely adjustable. This allows the pressure from the 250 bar compressed air reservoir (300 cc and also its own pressure gauge) to be reduced to create exactly the right pressure in the plenum to suit your chosen ammunition.

Dynamic Plenum –
the plenum contains the already regulated air ready for the next shot. The 4.5 mm / .177 and 5.5 mm / .22 calibers have a 62 cc Macro plenum, and the 6.35 mm / .25 and 7.62 mm / .30 are equipped with a larger 120 cc Macro XL plenum.

Dynamic Block –
inside the Dynamic Block is an extra large breech that allows you to use up to 13 mm long ammunition. A newly developed one-piece High Power/Short Impulse valve provides very large and lightning-fast air flow.

Quick Tune System –
the hammer spring preload can be adjusted with a macro adjustment wheel that has a large number of clearly numbered steps. Fine-tuning is then done with a micro-adjustment, also equipped with a clear scale. Thus, chosen settings are always easy to reset.

Superior STX –
the renowned Superior STX running system has a replaceable Superior STX standard liner where the pulls and pitches are pressed in from the outside. This gives the smoothest possible surface inside the barrel and a perfect seal around the projectile.

Functional design
Everything about the FX Panthera Hunter Compact is designed for ultimate precision, and ergonomics is obviously an important aspect of that. The adjustable match trigger is considered highly refined and the trigger blade is height and angle adjustable for perfect ergonomics. Also, the tension lever can be reversed to make the compressed air weapon operable for left- and right-handed shooters. Of course, a 20 MOA Weaver/Picatinny rail for the rifle scope is not to be missed. This slightly forward-tilted rail significantly increases the scope’s adjustment range at long distances.

Note: The FX Panthera Hunter Compact comes in an average state of tune, so it is universally usable. The maximum values specified in the specifications are achievable by using the various adjustment options on the air rifle.
