The Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze is a state-of-the-art electronic compressed air rifle. You might even call it a smart air rifle. Progressive British Daystate has really taken the concept of air rifle to a completely new level with the Delta Wolf Bronze.
Self-thinking air rifle
What makes this air rifle so special is its electronic heart. Instead of a mechanical trigger, the Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze has an electronic trigger system with a solenoid. Simply put, this is an electromagnetic valve. An electronic trigger is not unique, but Daystate combines it with a chronometer mounted in the barrel casing that measures the velocity of the bullet and a computer that uses the information obtained to rapidly change settings on the compressed-air rifle itself….
After setting variables such as caliber, barrel length and pellet weight, the Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze can calculate for itself what setting changes are needed to achieve, for example, a speed you specify. Normally with an adjustable compressed-air rifle, the force and force output are adjusted by means of various adjustment options such as hammer spring preload and air throughput – which ultimately influence the speed of the compressed-air pellet – now you simply key in the desired speed on the touchscreen. The Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze then goes about calculating and adjusting itself. Unload a few shots and the speed is at desired levels. Thus, once you know the speed at which a particular air pressure ball is most pure, only the speed needs to be entered.
The electronics allow you to adjust the power of the Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze air rifle at lightning speed. No hassle with screws, you choose low, medium or high power on the touch screen and you’re done. The Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze makes it as easy as possible for you, while also giving you plenty of room to experiment on your own. You can electronically adjust how hard, how long and how far the valve is pushed open. And the great thing is, settings can also be stored in memory. For example, settings can be stored per pellet.
Simply changing caliber
Should you wish to adjust the regulator pressure, this is also still possible manually. However, the regulator already defaults to the power and caliber in which the Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze comes. Normally, nothing needs to be adjusted there, but we also supply barrel kits, where the barrel and pellet probe are replaced to change the caliber. In that case, the regulator pressure does need to be adjusted. With such a Daystate Delta Wolf barrel kit, you change the caliber and/or barrel length, while the rest of the Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze can remain unchanged. Enter the caliber, the weight of the pellet or slug you want to shoot, and the computer calculates the rest. Internally, the adjustments will be automatic and a suggestion is given for regulator pressure. You can adjust those manually, or you can choose to disregard the advice and come up with a setting yourself. Experimentation is always possible.
Also convenient: the screen has several lighting modes and also has a night mode. The computer even counts the number of shots and signals by vibration when the magazine is empty. That may take a while, by the way, because it is possible to load two warehouses at the same time. The display has an adjustable time-out timer and it is also adjustable when the electronic system automatically turns itself off completely. Should you not use the stopwatch, it can also be turned off to save battery power. That battery, by the way, can be charged via a USB-C connection. The Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze has Bluetooth preparation, to connect to other devices in case of future updates.
The Daystate Delta Wolf Bronze compressed air rifle is a technical gem of excellent quality with good workmanship and high quality components. For example, a German Lothar Walther barrel is used and the regulator is from the Dutch company Huma Air. By using a fast-flow valve and a large plenum (secondary air chamber), maximum use is made of the 480 cc of compressed air in the carbon reservoir.
A Weaver/Picatinny rifle scope rail is mounted on the dovetail rail on top of the action, which is 150 mm adjustable so that zero eye relief rifle scopes, for example, can also be used. There are Weaver/Picatinny accessory rails mounted on the sides and a Weaver/Picatinny accessory rail on the bottom to attach a bipod, for example.
The flexible tension lever can be mounted on either side, and both the shoulder piece and cheek piece are adjustable. It makes the Delta Wolf Bronze perfectly adjustable for both left- and right-handed shooters. Also perfectly adjustable is the 2-stage trigger, the first stage of which is adjustable in weight and distance, the second stage is adjustable in weight. Even the trigger blade is adjustable for perfect positioning.
