The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 has a 38mm lens. The other new model from the Thermion line is the Thermion XQ50 and it has a 50mm lens. What’s the big difference? With a 38mm lens you have a wider field of view and with the 50mm lens you can see further away. Are you looking for a thermal imaging rifle scope with a very fast start-up time? Then this viewer is for you! All you have to do is touch the ON button and the image will work in no time.
Range
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 has a range of +/- 1350 meters, thanks to its F38 lens. Heat sources can therefore be detected up to this distance. When looking over 1000 meters, a heat source of 1.8 meters (or a person) can be seen. The viewer has a 2.5-10x magnification. Do keep in mind; the more magnification, the less sharp the image. Thanks to the 50Hz refresh rate, you have smooth images if you want to quickly explore the environment.
shoot in
Unlike the rifle scopes of Zeiss, Swarovski, Meopta and so on, the shooting of these scopes works differently. With the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 you bring the reticle to the location of the shot.
So you shoot at the target at a distance of your choice. After you shoot, you see that the bullet is never in the right place. Make sure you can see the place where the bullet has landed and bring your cross to that point via the menu with the X and Y axis and save the coordinates afterwards.
When this is done correctly, you can hit the bullseye or center the target with the 2nd shot.
Do you doubt that you can do this? Or will it not work? We are happy to explain it to you in our store. Or when you buy this Thermion XQ38 from us, we will take you to the shooting range and thus ensure that you become familiar with this scope and this new technique.
Colour
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 has 8 different color palettes, which makes it easier to observe in different weather conditions. The standard colors White hot and Hot Black are the most commonly used. Of which the Hot Black is usually used at night. The red color ensures that people are less likely to become “night blind”. In addition, there is a choice of:
– Rainbow
– Ultramarine
– Violet
– Red Monochrome
– Sepia
Image Boost
This is new software specially designed by Pulsar to see EVEN more details. Image boost results in a sharper image, more details visible and improved possibilities for object identification.
Note: this must first be set to ON in the menu.
Picture in Picture function
This function provides a small display at the top of the display. This allows you to zoom in more easily on what gives off some heat while you also continue to observe the rest of the environment. Ideal for when you want to shoot at a somewhat greater distance and do not want to miss anything of the environment.
battery pack
This Pulsar Thermion XQ38 is equipped with a Dual-lion B-pack Mini power system. This is a small battery that lasts for 4 hours. Furthermore, the Thermion XQ38 is equipped with an internal battery that also lasts 4 hours. So a total of 8 hours. The internal battery can be charged with the supplied micro USB cable and the small battery via the supplied charger. Simultaneous charging is also possible, via the mirco USB cable.
Wi-Fi
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 has a WiFi function so that you can also use the Stream Vision app. This viewer has a built-in video recorder that can also take pictures. In this way you can relive your memorable hunting moments. When your smartphone or tablet is connected to the viewer, you can also let someone else enjoy what you see through the viewer.
Ease of use
The Thermion XQ38 weighs only 900 grams. This thermal imaging rifle scope has a 30mm tube and is therefore easy to mount on a bullet rifle with 30mm rings. Thanks to the IPX7, the viewer is completely waterproof. This applies to both rain and snow. The viewer can even be used up to 1 meter under water for a period of up to 30 minutes. The Thermion XQ38 can be used at temperatures from -25 to +/- +50 degrees Celsius.
