The built-in video recorder is a great asset when it comes to filming or photographing once-in-a-lifetime experiences. With the press of the REC button, you can capture recordings that you can easily share with colleagues, friends and family. The internal memory of 16 Gb is good for many hours of video recording and many photos.
8 Color Palettes
A choice of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe their field of view more effectively, optimizing the device for specific tasks and also responding to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase the chance of recognition & identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are best suited for long-term observation at night.
WiFi. Integration with IOS and Android devices
The built-in Wi-Fi module enables connectivity of the Helion 2 with Android or iOS smartphones or tablets. The combination of smartphone and thermal imager offers a range of unique functions, such as instant image streaming, downloading and sharing of recorded files, options for firmware updates and many others.
Quick-change, high-capacity battery (up to 8 hours of run time)
Quick-swap rechargeable batteries provide enough power for up to 8 hours of non-stop operation. On one battery pack, the device can work all night without having to be replaced. Any regular power bank connected via Micro USB can be used as an external power supply. The IPS14 battery pack, which is sold separately, provides up to 16 hours of operation. A battery holder for LR6 (AA) batteries is an optional accessory.
Picture-in-Picture displays an enlarged image in the top center 10% of the total field of view to accurately zoom in on an object of interest.
IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection against heavy rain, snow or other precipitation. The unit is designed to operate without any problems, even after being submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

Helion 2 housing, power supply, optics and electronics are designed for applications in a wide temperature range. Helion guarantees reliable and effective performance in freezing temperatures down to -25°C.
The stadiametric rangefinder is a dynamic rangefinder that can determine the approximate range of objects with a known height of 1.7 m (deer), 0.7 m (wild boar) and 0.3 m (rabbit).
High frame rate
Thanks to the high frame rate (50 Hz) it is comfortable to use the thermal camera dynamically (with fast movements of the observer or the observed object).
For initial setup and additional updates, the iOS and Android compatible Stream Vision App ensures the latest Helion software versions are available.
External power supply
Helion makes charging external sources, such as power banks, quick and easy with a micro USB connection. The convenience of charging with a power bank even increases the ability to power the Helion in extremely cold weather, while also protecting the source from rapid discharge.
The Helion is designed with ease of use in mind. User feedback has resulted in the most user-friendly interface to date, complete with an easy-to-read, alphanumeric status bar with icons at the bottom of the display. Internal menu items and options are also displayed on a contrasting gradient background, so you can keep an eye on the settings without losing sight of your target.
When it is necessary to temporarily stop the observation, the user can apply the Display Off function. This function provides the necessary camouflage (no light from the eyepiece of the device) between observation sessions and a quick restart of the observation (when the display is switched off, all other systems work; for normal operation it is sufficient to switch the display back on to switch).
