Description
The all-new Pulsar Talion XQ38 is an innovative, compact thermal imaging scope with an eclectic array of impressive features, including a highly sensitive 384×288, 17 µm <40 mK NETD thermal imaging sensor for stunning clarity down to 1,350 m.
Powered by an interchangeable and rechargeable Pulsar APS5 battery, the Talion XQ38 offers up to 9 hours of usage time after just one charge (depending on temperature). The embossed design of the battery cover helps the user accurately locate the correct position of the battery, meaning that battery removal and replacement is quick and easy, even in complete darkness. The quick release latch also allows for quick and seamless battery removal and replacement. Releasing this latch opens and raises the battery cover of the Talion XQ38, which is located on top of the rifle scope housing.
At just 700 grams, this innovative new thermal imaging scope is incredibly light, yet thanks to its rugged magnesium alloy body, the Talion XQ38 has a robust construction that can handle even the harshest conditions. The magnesium alloy housing also acts as a heat sink to dissipate the heat generated by the device’s internal electronics.
This compact device is also IPX7 waterproof and can withstand heavy rain and high humidity. It can even withstand immersion in 1m of water for up to half an hour. High caliber weapons are not a problem either, as this scope can withstand high recoil and can therefore be used with high caliber shotguns (9.3×64, .30-06, .300, .375H&H, etc.), as well as smoothbore and pneumatic weapons.
Focusing is easy thanks to the integrated fin lever. Designed to match the protruding ridge on the housing of the Talion XQ38 when the focus has reached the 70m mark (night-shooting distance), this will allow quick and correct focusing without having to look down at the riflescope.
The controls of the Talion XQ38 are effortless to find, as they are all located on the top panel of the eyepiece to make access as easy as possible for users, regardless of whether they are left or right handed.
The Talion XQ38 offers the user a choice of three signal amplification levels. This, combined with Pulsar’s new filter algorithms with fine brightness and contrast adjustments, will help to better define the features of a target and provide an incredibly clear representation of objects and backgrounds in the field of view.
The Talion XQ38 offers 5 shooting profiles for a variety of weapons or cartridge types. Each profile can store up to 10 target distances, so up to 50 distances can be set in total. There is also a choice of 10 electronic reticle configurations and functions (direct shot type, ballistic, scalable and normal) in 9 color modes.
The Picture in Picture (PiP) mode uses 10% of the Talion XQ38’s screen, allowing the user to observe an HD zeroing frame. This mode displays a magnified image of the target and reticle while simultaneously maintaining visual control over the entire field of view.
Capture all those once-in-a-lifetime moments thanks to built-in video and photo capture capabilities. This, combined with the built-in WiFi module and Stream Vision 2 connectivity, allows the user to easily view and share memorable moments.
Connecting the Talion XQ38 to the Stream Vision 2 mobile app opens up a plethora of features and functionalities. Use your cell phone or tablet as a second screen, get remote control of digital features, view and share videos and photos, remotely install the latest firmware updates, and much more with Stream Vision 2, available for Apple and Android devices on the Apple AppStore and the Google Play Store respectively.
