High-quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing
Axion is designed for constant, often heavy-duty use. A magnesium alloy body is light and strong at the same time. The enclosure reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging device from shock, drop, moisture, heat or cold. At the same time, a metal housing effectively removes heat from the electronics, minimizes image noise and increases the consistency of the device’s operation during prolonged observation.

Highly sensitive European-made Lynred sensor
The Axion 2 XQ35 is equipped with a European Lynred sensor with a resolution of 384×288 pixels (pixel size 17 microns), which qualitatively captures a usable signal under difficult observation conditions, such as rain, fog and high humidity at the observation site. F35/1.0 lens with fast aperture
Germanium F35/1.0 lens has high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. Due to the high-precision manufacture of the lens’ optical elements, the image generated by the Axion 2 XQ thermal imaging camera sensor stands out for its clarity and detail.
Extended battery life.

Up to 11 hours on a single charge

A high-capacity APS5 rechargeable battery provides up to 11 hours of continuous operation of the thermal imaging device on a single charge. The battery is removed from a battery housing and replaced with a new one within seconds. The battery is charged in a dedicated charger or in the device from a PC, household power system or power bank via USB-C. The same sources are used for the external power supply of a thermal imaging device.

Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4/5 GHz waveband support
In Axion 2 XQ thermal imagers, the standard frequency range for smartphone connectivity via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel is supplemented by an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer rate, noise immunity and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation of the thermal imager with a smartphone.

1300 m detection range
A powerful F35/1.0 objective lens combined with a 384×288@17µm highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard object 1.8 m high can be detected up to 1300 m away in complete darkness.

Field of view over 10 degrees
The Axion 2 XQ thermal imaging cameras are suitable for viewing large areas, observing in motion or for moving objects – the linear field of view is 18.2 m at 100 m distance or 10.7° in angular values. The “Picture in Picture” function activates an additional window at the top of the screen, in which the central area of the observed scene is magnified 2 or 4 times. This makes it possible to combine the informative content of a wide field of view with detailed observation of the selected object.

Pocket-sized dimensions and lightweight
Axion 2 XQ has a space-saving and pocket-sized design and weighs 350 grams. The device is easy to grip and operate by right-handed and left-handed people thanks to its symmetrical design and in-line buttons on the top panel.

Variable magnification from 2x to 8x
Digital zoom, up to 4x, provides better focus and better overall object recognition at long distances. The zoom changes gradually in 2x increments or continuously for a truly optimal, customized field of view for a specific situation.

Built-in photo and video recorder. Free 16 GB cloud space
The Axion 2 XQ has a built-in VCR. The Axion 2 XQ’s internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One press of the button is all it takes to take a picture of an interesting scene or to record video. The footage is copied to a computer’s hard drive via a USB-C port. The owner of the Axion 2 XQ has a free disk space of 16 GB for storing photos and videos taken with the device in the Pulsar cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile application, log in and connect the device to a smartphone via wifi.

Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Axion 2 XQ to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of options, including software updates for wireless devices, real-time image transfer from the device to the smartphone screen, publication on social media of photo and video content captured by the device or transferred to messengers, remote control of digital device functions and access to the latest news from Pulsar. In addition, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.

Fast startup
The Axion 2 XQ has a short turn-on time: the unit is fully functional within 5 seconds of pressing the ON button. Quick startup helps save battery power: while hunting, the Axion 2 XQ does not have to be ready at all times, just turn it on when needed.

High-Contrast AMOLED Display
A high-contrast AMOLED display with VGA resolution has improved color reproduction, power saving and fast response, enabling sharp and smooth images to be observed even in icy conditions. A selection of 8 color palettes
With a choice of 8 color palettes, users can observe their field of view more effectively, allowing them to optimize the device for specific tasks and respond to changing observation conditions.

White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase the chances of recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are best suited for long nighttime observation.
