This break barrel air rifle is cocked by holding the stock with one hand and the barrel well and firmly and then pulling the barrel down.
The barrel nods at the back of the barrel.
As the barrel is pulled down, the piston will be pushed backwards, compressing the gas in the cylinder.
Keep pulling until the plunger locks in place.
With a break barrel air rifle, the bullet is placed directly in the back of the barrel. After loading, the barrel is closed by turning it back to its fixed position.
The air rifle is now armed and ready to fire.
After the air rifle is aimed at the target, remove the safety and apply pressure to the trigger.
When the trigger is moved backwards, the piston is released and it will jump forward through the compressed gas.
This action compresses the air in the space in front of the piston.
The air is forced through an opening against the back of the bullet which is located in the barrel.
The effect of all this will be that the bullet moves out of the barrel at high speed towards the target of your choice.
Remark
Many factors affect the performance and speed of an air rifle.
Results may vary by up to 20% due to projectile brand, weight and shape, lubrication, barrel condition, indoor shooting, outdoor shooting, temperature, shooting skills and other factors.
There may be a break-in period.
During this period, the accuracy may be erratic and the air rifle may make more noise. This will improve as the system rolls in.
