By simply loosening the locking screw, the angle between the two halves of the frame can be adjusted to change the distance between the front and rear brackets. When the frame is turned towards the weapon, this gives enough space to be able to use weapons with a large magazine capacity (AR-15), but also the semi-automatic weapons and the bolt weapons.
Another advantage of the frame design is the ability to bend the frame the other way so that the 7-Rest is suitable for both left and right handed shooters. Fully adjustable front and rear mounts keep your gun securely in place, while the mounts help protect the stock and fore-end.
