Slugs FX Hybrid 5.5mm HP 22 grain (.217)

FX Hybrid 5.5mm 22 grain slugs are a hybrid form between a conventional pellet and a slug.

Pellets with a diabolo shape adapt perfectly to the pulls and fields of a barrel and have a small contact surface, which means little friction. However, due to their shape, they have a low ballistic coefficient, which means that they lose speed quickly and are sensitive to wind.

Slugs, on the other hand, have a much higher ballistic coefficient, which allows them to maintain their speed better. The large own weight and large contact surface (extra friction) do ensure that a lot of extra force is needed to be able to shoot slugs.

The FX Hybrid 5.5mm 22 grain slugs have the external dimensions of a high ballistic coefficient slug, but are completely hollow and have a hollowed out base, making them lightweight. Their shape gives them a contact surface with the optimum balance between friction and sealing.

This combination of properties ensures that the FX Hybrid slugs have a flatter trajectory than conventional pellets and that they are less sensitive to wind. Thanks to a greater conservation of energy, they are very suitable for long distances and the hollow point gives an enormous expansion.
